AI in Microsoft Teams
I have been working with copilot to understand its power. In a Teams meeting, whilst its power is well demonstrated by this example, the ease at which I was proved wrong is somewhat worrying – there is nowhere to hide.
During a catchup 1 hour teams meeting a conversation happened about a delivery, I said a date. It wasn’t critical, but when I published the date later a question was asked, why is it different. I had no recollection that it was even mentioned on the call, but a quick query of CoPilot showed my error.
What is important in this demonstration was, a whole one hour meeting of which my comment took less than 30 seconds to make could be proven in moments, compared to an none AI meeting in which someone would have to read the transcript or listen to the meeting.
Unfortunately excited by this power I went to the main copilot query window and asked the same question. It didn’t reference the meeting. I told copilot about the meeting, it apologised for not referring to the meeting, so there is still some work to happen within the world of copilot, but it is a new product.
